I started from stamford rd... pass stamford house..i like the architecture design of stamford house..very..vintage feel... Den walk through SMU **very reputable internationally..even the delegates know about this uni. SJI ... now..Singapore ART Museum.. now you see a lot of such design duplicated and modified into modern designs like clubbing ZOUK, MOS post cards, brochures.. Rafles Hotel is the Most outstanding i feel, in terms of style... no modern concrete or glass feel.. pass by this interesting cafe at Seah Street.. its called 'Mint CAfe-toys, museum, food all in one' shall try it next time =) Finally!! i reach my destination.. actually i also dun know where im heading to initially den. i spotted this shop!! its 'Actually..." a urban retail shop very popular and famous for high end fashion tees, shoes and bags.. Im goin in . wish mi luck... BTW ..the stuffs they sell are Fantastic.. very unique..cant fiond elsewhere.. bt be prepared to burn a big hole in ur pockets.. its 80 plus and above for most products..
And...the staff there.... one word..... CutE.... heehee

See? They even 'attached' SUNFLOWERS by the roadside outside the singapore art museum..during IMF ...NICE =) i love these man.. it makes life look happier =) The Welfare for the IMF helpers ?? like us ?? 90 marks .. fantastic man.. we are well treated with pringles ..cornettos ice cream and more tibits everyday in a air con tent... =) FREE and we are paid... gosh.. i dun want to go back to work liao..heehee See ?? there is even hello panda (my fav~) and jia jia (also my fav provided ) but these are courtesy from NYP SA .. yes let mi tell u NYP students are lucky people man.. we are the ONLY school out of the three sch involved to have packed lunch and dinner for us everyday ~~ RP and TP have to da bao themselves or they struggle on tibits lor ... See? NYP is still gd..heehee

A very 'happening' past few days...
Okie be prepared.. this may be a long long blog cox i haven been bloggin since last week and im updating about my experiences in IMF..the event... and my thoughts about wat i saw these few days...
First, the IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meeting. For those who don't know yet, its basically a prestigious event held every year for international countries to come together to discuss world economics issues. It is held in Washington DC every year except for every 3 years where they will hold it in another country. This year, around 20,000 delegates are invited to our small little island for this meeting. =)
Second, What Singapore has done for the IMF Meeting. Well, LET just Say A Whole LOT MORE than IOC, NDP, CHINGAY put together! To simplify my point, im using numbers to elaborate on my personal opinion on what extend has singapore done for IMF.
1. More than 1/4 (Close to half* i think) of Singaporeans are involved in one way or another (directly and indirectly) Want more evidence? Policemen(reservice also must come back) , drivers, bus host, ushers @ every point of contact possible, servers, cleaners...
2. Almost every industry is earning big bucks..F&B(major money man!), Transport(800 BMWs...), Plantation (yes.. didn you notice the roads are prettier??), Clothing (All the staff/volunteer of IMF have customised attire), Cleaning (we need a gd impression man.. cleaners earn much credit i feel =) ), Security (Cisco, police), Hospitality (Need i say more for this? almost all the hotels around town are fully booked!), Sport and wellness (YES! our industry too..why? the theme for the sprouse lunch/program was health and wellness showing the most prestigious and fine wellness companies in Singapore.) okie... u are gettin bored. i shall move on...
3. Besides the EXTREME tight security, the ROADS esp are VERY MUCH like botanical gardens man.. take pictures before they are gone..AFTER IMF tat is..I have never seen orchard so beautiful before... (See pictures Above..)

Okie okie... Move on to my third part, my experience in IMF .... priceless...yesh its not about the money (though i shall not reveal how much im paid..) But really.. i could come into close contact with the delegates explaining to them about singapore and what i do.. yes (i manage to convince them tat Singapore has a place for sport and wellness)...man.. im just gald to be part of it..every journey I make, i made friend with at least one delegate =) And they are not necessary the richest, but one of the most noble person in their job...One even appeared in many economic magazines ! gasp!
lastly... my other thoughts.. ar but this is not very related to IMF and frankly, im tired.. just came back and im shagged.. so i shall continue part II tml folks =)

DAY 1 at IMF
Okie.. my first day... its a big event as everybody knows.. and yup im a bus host ..
I reach there alone with no friends and found a comfy seat in a corner and ate my lunch... so not me... cox im used to having ppl around me MOST of the time.. esp my friends..
but sometimes being alone isnt that bad.. because at the end of the day, just one day and i've make more than 5 new friends which i would not have make if i were to be wif my khakis.. cox i will be wif them rather than with new people..
Its always great to know new people.. but at a point in time i came back early for my shift and my new friends i've met earlier have not finished.. so i sat alone with nothing to do..and it was quite boring so I took out my sticks and started practising... i think it drew quite some attention because after a while, a few from TP (sitting opp me) came up to me and ask if i do jamming.. and i said :" Not yet.. but maybe soon.. after i pull through the basics.."
turns out they are musicians too.. some play guitar, some piano..and a new topic about music started and i made more FRIENDS ... i always enjoy myself at the part where i meet new people and explore new things =)
It feels great to learn new stuff too... im reaching my third lesson and im beginning to appreciate more variety of music including top40s and soft rock...
But the headache part is no full set at home to practice.. but nvm.. after ipp.. hopefully i could afford a decent set .. Swee lee selling 800 for a decent new set... my coach says possible to get 500 plus or a second hand set... second hand also can lah (oh ya any swee lee member out there? cox got discount heehee )......so i've been pretty thrifty recently.. on food.. i eat at home.. go home eat .. wat else? maggi mee lah.. cookies ... fruits.. heehee
i wanna break through.. be more focus and enjoy wat i do =) (except for the starving myself part.. well... its meant to save up for bigger things)
OTher than that, IMF is just like tat lor... i didn get to see the glam the rich and the famous.. i saw the ordinary, simple and happy people instead which are the policemen, bus uncles, students.. all contributing to make singapore an OBVIOUS tiny dot on the world map.

This morning i just had breakfast with my mum at lucky plaza before she and i leave for work...
Oh man.. bad choice.. not with my mum though.. but with her group of breakfast 'khakis' who are neighbourhood 'tai tai's ... the way they dress, they talk like some 'high' class lady with a fake charisma... not that they are un friendly people, but its just not natural la...And they talk about their kids.. comparing.. blah blah.. ask where im from.. silence upon hearing im from poly..(they assume im from uni because i worn quite formal...-__-")
Den went to borders for some 'Free' reading before heading to mcys for work.. i start at 11am today ma.. and as im typing this.. its chaotic around me..people gathering at a desk to discuss some report thingy and some gossiping here and there..followed by laughter.. hahaha that's office life for you man..
Me?? well.lets juts say things begin to slow now for me because the managers are busy to see my progress and I have to wait for their 'vetting' before I can move on.. So lets just say that im stuck at the 'traffic jam'...
And yup.. no probationers to talk also because normally they come on fridays and saturdays... oh well.. might as well munch my grape cookie *Munch..munch... haha
And finally.. two more days.. and im off to IMF.. as bus host..not sure what to expect.. i didn even attend a briefing at all lo!!! wahaha I'm not sure why I'm in this mess in the first place... oh well.. *munch munch ....licks fingers
Right.. these days life has been pretty stagnant i must say... every morning, i go work, den home.. on the way no friends.. no body to talk to.. pretty boring man.. den in the train you see groups and groups of youngsters in clicks and im damn envious man... i miss those times too......
And ..almost all my meals i eat outside and boy... terrible man... because like i said , home cook food is the best wat... i eat 'ze char' until i feel like vomit everytime i look at it.. and dinner has been tibits.. and chocolates.. sea weed..(WARNING! PLEASE IGNORE THIS PART AFTER READING IT .BECAUSE IT IS FORBIDDEN FROM A SPORTS AND WELLNESS PERSPECTIVE)
but wat to do...mummy no longer cooks .. i work late... and no khakis for dinner cox they working also.... ..oh well... back to my oreo waffle sticks.. *munch munch......my dinner again..hahaha

Okie.. An atomic bomb dropped on mi last week... and just in case ya'll need to know, I will be 'literally' away for one week from 14th sept to 20th sept...if the dates sounds familar yesh.. i will be @ the IMF event as a 'BUS HOST' ..-__-"
Dun ask mi why? it came as a shock.. cox i didn expect such stuff .. but i think its a gd experience though...
My only worries? my ipp la... i plan nice nice already ma.. heehee now must rush most of my work before i 'leave' for IMF... why? i always 'kena' this kinda of 'kang tao' one... if im very 'hokkienish' today.. pardon mi.. im still not in the correct condition of mentality...
these days i dun really have any thoughts. been stoning though.. No thoughts and complaints... just plain simple life of mine with work and work and .. more work..
Im beginning to hate this.. not my work.. but the fact that my friends are no longer here and im alone.... actually i might as well get soon to it cox sooner or later, i have to face the truth.. we will all go to our separate ways.. just like in primary sch, in sec ... we leave behind memories and move on....
luckily... my s4 ... we been through hard times and we forced ourselves to hang on.. im gald. we made it.. til now... hope it carries on...
my khakis now...my poly mates.. i will do the same.. i will hang on .. even if everyone is leaving.. i will stay here.. and wait... for our stories to be written bit by bit to keep that little spark of our friendship...

Rite... im not in the greatest condition of my mind now.. so if u cant really catch any balls in my blog today.. i apologise for it.. cox im having headache now.. think its the accumulated 'early' nights and rainy days (Free shower in the day -__-") and computer staring that is draining my brain power rapidly....
anyways.. music lesson was great... learn how to hold the sticks and stuff and also got a bit of my first solo part.. hehe fun la.. and i enjoyed it .. though i was a bit nervous and excited ....
Then ... cant really remember wat i did during the weekend..(see? memory massive depletion already...)
But yesterday, monday, was interesting ..talked to this friendly australian guy about business matters. he's in the science equipment industry with factories world wide.. and i do mean international business man... they have factories in the US..Europe..Africa..China..Australia... but he gave mi great advice and i learnt a lot from him ..=) talking to customers has become a great joy for me at wine hut esp when they open up my mind .. literally..heehee
Den ... took mc on tue.. long story.. dun wanna talk about it... today , tue.. is a bad day for mi. everything was going wrong.. and my head is killing as im typing this...... so.. yea.. til den... nites...

First week of ipp gone....
I learnt quite a lot actually... it was a whole new experience tats beyond my faculty... It's more people oriented and emotion based...
My work scope? :
To organise / plan a program using sports and recreation to teach probation youths lifeskills values... basically its rehablitation for probationers using sports.
To do WHP for the staff
Evaluation for their current sports club..
I really appreciate their thrust and their willingness to let me learn and have the opportunity to explore what/how i wanna do the projects... yes. its projects based and i have to come up with ideas from humble beginnings..haha why do i feel like im in SPT now?? heehe
Tat's work..regarding my life...well.. okie.. i bought a lap top liao!! compaq presario V3000.. black colour but quite heavy.. performance wise ...good.. (quoted from my sis lah)
And starting from next week onwards my life schedule should be sth like that ....:
- Mon to friday (8.30am to 6plus) MCYS ipp ... after 6plus (2-3 nights at wine hut..)(2nights at home dinner with family)....(2 nights working out at gym...) and the onli 1 night left is own free time....
- Week ends (either working, or doing reports for projects, training (either/or Swim run bike in school) and sunday got music lessons... yup...i hardly got entertainment time except for after midnights.. tats why been having late supper with kendy and ivan sia.. hahah 'unhealthy' debts tat i have to pay back at gym.. heehee
See??? hectic man..my onli stonning hours is during work cox i go no internet connection to do my work.. and i just stone sometimes in MCYS when im not at meetings and case sit in.. or hostel visit .. heehee sounds busy but yeah.. 9 hours leh.. 5 days know..if u spread it out it dosen seen so busy any more lo....
My point is .. my quite packed and ya .. to my friends please book EARLY as for appointments.. im not trying to be intimidating but i dun like to disappoint my friends giving execuses tat im busy cox EVERYone in this world claims so lah.. who in the world is not busy one??
This makes mi realised sth.. 'Human Relationship' is like a lesson module and its not easy to pass.. under this module we must learn, time management, communication skills, sacrificing skills and creativity thinking.. i shall elaborate when i have the time in future.. til den....
