DAY 1 at IMF Okie.. my first day... its a big event as everybody knows.. and yup im a bus host ..
I reach there alone with no friends and found a comfy seat in a corner and ate my lunch... so not me... cox im used to having ppl around me MOST of the time.. esp my friends..
but sometimes being alone isnt that bad.. because at the end of the day, just one day and i've make more than 5 new friends which i would not have make if i were to be wif my khakis.. cox i will be wif them rather than with new people..
Its always great to know new people.. but at a point in time i came back early for my shift and my new friends i've met earlier have not finished.. so i sat alone with nothing to do..and it was quite boring so I took out my sticks and started practising... i think it drew quite some attention because after a while, a few from TP (sitting opp me) came up to me and ask if i do jamming.. and i said :" Not yet.. but maybe soon.. after i pull through the basics.."
turns out they are musicians too.. some play guitar, some piano..and a new topic about music started and i made more FRIENDS ... i always enjoy myself at the part where i meet new people and explore new things =)
It feels great to learn new stuff too... im reaching my third lesson and im beginning to appreciate more variety of music including top40s and soft rock...
But the headache part is no full set at home to practice.. but nvm.. after ipp.. hopefully i could afford a decent set .. Swee lee selling 800 for a decent new set... my coach says possible to get 500 plus or a second hand set... second hand also can lah (oh ya any swee lee member out there? cox got discount heehee )......so i've been pretty thrifty recently.. on food.. i eat at home.. go home eat .. wat else? maggi mee lah.. cookies ... fruits.. heehee
i wanna break through.. be more focus and enjoy wat i do =) (except for the starving myself part.. well... its meant to save up for bigger things)
OTher than that, IMF is just like tat lor... i didn get to see the glam the rich and the famous.. i saw the ordinary, simple and happy people instead which are the policemen, bus uncles, students.. all contributing to make singapore an OBVIOUS tiny dot on the world map.
