Im back... Too many thoughts have been through me mind so I shall not mention any...
Here's what Im thinking now....
Top 10 Office 'Attitudes' to be a 'Role MOdel' and get that promotion you've been waiting for...OR..'ACTING' through for...
10. Come at 9am instead of 830am and when ppl asked, say 'Was meeting with 'Clients"' or 'Oh, im working late tonight' and den when nobody is around after 6pm, leaVE as per normal....
9. You don't need to know the boss well, just know his/her Secretary well ...
8. Have lunch with diff groups of ppl .. you'll never know when you need help from them....Don't eat alone and be 'Anti Social'
7. Try to avoid 'arrows' at all cost...They are everywhere..waiting for you to do OT...
6. Do your work SLowly but not so slow til your boss complaints... just do enough at the scheduled dateline because MORE work will come for the early birds...
5. Do Not joke with your boss/supervisor..Know your limits...Don't cross the line thinking he/she's cool about it.. he/she maybe a BETTER actor than you...
4. Forget the come early. work late theory...its doesnt work anymore because WHO's going to notice??!! you are the only one left anyway...
3. Be Friendly with anybody in the building.. a small admin assisstant have the power to control the aircon temp of the department just a phone call away.. she knows the operations ppl wat...Do you?..even the director cant do that man...
2. Put a mirror infront of your lap top... You never know who's watching (spying) behind you...
And finally....
The number one attitude is.....1. JUST LIVE IT ...have no views , you listen, you do, you shut up.
Live by these principles and ...Go ahead..Collect your Emmy Award..For 'Best Acting in a workplace.'
Frankly, its crap, its just sth i heard and saw in my office and wat other ppl told me about their office life....I dun live in non of the 'attitudes'
The Best way is to get a job that you like and you are yourself every single day. No acting required, Just yourself.
