HAJI LANE @ arab street
Alright, this Quiet Little narrow street is just behind Bali Lane.
Still not where exactly where?
It's at Arab street lah. Bugis Area.
Decided to explore this little place after school to chill out.
Well.. exams are near, datelines for projects are even NEARER.
but.. oh well... la kopi first. lol
refresh my mind before starting yet another battle of the minds.
haha.
Right...
where was i? ... oh.. rite..
Haji Lane.
I've actually read about it quite a few times on magazines.
and im really keen to see what has this street got to offer.
You know.. i love something different...
La kopi so many times liao...
Sometimes you just wish this tiny island can offer more..
Anyway, This place ?
Very vintage.
Very Old times
Yet With a modern twist to it.
Very retro.
From the retail shops to the cafes and even some small private companies,
the style and ambience created was in no doubt, Vintage.
That's why i like it =]
I was quite attracted to the decor and architecture actually.
Many unique shops, only one of a kind.
Shops with interesting names like 'Japan House', 'Pluck' , '3' .
There is no questions they sell only unique vintage items import from europe, australia and asian countires.
Forget Ben and Jerry and Andersen's Ice cream.
There is this nice little ice cream cum retail shop that sells wonderful ice cream.
Flavours like Martini lychee, blueberry cheese are made to impress.
plus. its $2.50 for a scoop and $4 for two.
pretty reasonable for a big scoop =)
'3' sells damn cool guys clothing, bags and shoes.
Forget 77th street.
Go individual and unique at Haji Lane.
You might never find other person wearing the same shirt as you.
Too bad. ladies clothing was minimal.
mainly lacy lacy vintage patterns -__-"
LAstly, found this cool cafe cum movie THEATER.
Its called 'PITCH BLACK'
yes. MOVIE.
Big screen, dark room equipped with excellent audio and sofa seats.
Forget GV and CAthay.
Wanna impress your date?
This is it.
Ambience is give it a 8 out of 10.
Though small, it is cosy, has a different style and very artistic.
I give the thumbs up for presentation of the place.
Food was great, staff was friendly.
I think they play a movie every night from 7-9pm
A must try is a their 'Teh TArik Milkshake'
Cool huh?
But drink while its cold.
If not, its too sweet for anybody's liking.
Til den..
Til the next time i explore sth new.. chows =]
